For example, if Ausgrid owns the asset, their governing network standard would be NS145; or if Transport for NSW required a feeder inspection, the manual E100100E may be the standard to guide the transmission pole inspection. 

There are national and international standards such as AS 1720.1-2010 and ISO 15206:2010 which would provide the overarching principles, techniques and procedures. Thus, it’s important that inspectors understand the standard required for each individual project and owner.
